Cathrine Hoyo

Cathrine Hoyo, a Goodnight Innovation Distinguished Chair, is an NC State epidemiologist leading a wide-ranging study to learn how environmental contaminants affect liver health in various populations. A $50,000 grant from the Center for Human Health and Environment and the UNC Center of Environmental Health Susceptibility has catapulted her research, paving a way to discovering new, life-changing findings in her field.

Rodolphe Barrangou

Rodolphe Barrangou, Todd R. Klaenhammer Distinguished Professor in the Department of Food, Bioprocessing and Nutrition Sciences at NC State, has been inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Barrangou is the editor-in-chief of The CRISPR Journal, a peer-reviewed publication that brings together researchers and practitioners in a wide range of disciplines.

Assistant professor in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences’ Master of fine Arts program, Eduardo C. Corral believes his setting at a traditional land-grant university is the perfect place for a poet to teach and learn, surrounded by NC State’s traditional disciplines of agriculture and technology. Corral’s curiosity through poetry has been recognized for its insightfulness with the prestigious Lannan Literary Award and Fellowship.
